Application of Wax Emulsion 6130D in the Post-treatment of Yarns

Application of Wax Emulsion 6130D in the Post-treatment of Yarns

Time:   Click: 1509

Product Description:

After the bobbin yarn is dyed or treated, the waxes and greasy substances on the surface are damaged. It makes the yarn dry, increases its coefficient of friction, and makes it hard to feel, and its weave ability is highly valued. The quality of the yarn has a direct impact on the winding and weaving process. The use of wax emulsions in the post-treatment of bobbin yarns reduces yarn frictional resistance and decreases breakage. It can effectively improve the efficiency of winding and weaving processes and ensure product quality. Wax emulsion 6130D is especially suitable for the finishing of cotton bobbin yarns, after which the fabric has good softness and smoothness, and good uniformity between the inner, middle and outer layers.

Product Stability:

1. Temperature stability:

The wax emulsion 6130D is prepared as a 20g/L sample solution with tap water and left at room temperature for 10min. Put it into a constant temperature water bath at 40~80℃, keep it warm for 30~60min and observe the phenomenon.

2. Acid resistance stability

Wax emulsion 6130D is prepared as a 20g/L sample solution with tap water, adjusted to pH 4~5 with glacial acetic acid, and observed for 10min at room temperature. Put it into a 40~80℃ constant temperature water bath, keep it warm for 30~60min and observe the phenomenon.

From Tables 2 and 3, we can see that the wax emulsion 6130D has good stability against temperature and acid.

Product Application Effects:

1. Processes and conditions of use

Wax emulsion 6130D: 1.5~2% (o.w.f)

Temperature: 40~60°C

2. Effect of use

1) After the bobbin yarn is treated with wax emulsion 6130D, it has increased the smoothness of the yarn, thereby improved the frictional resistance between yarn and yarn, and between yarn and yarn guide during weaving, reduced winding and weaving breakage, and improved efficiency.

2) After the bobbin yarn is treated with wax emulsion 6130D, it can be evenly absorbed on the entire surface of the yarn, resulting in a good uniformity of the inner, middle and outer layers of the yarn.

Product Performance Summary:

1. Gives cotton bobbin yarns a smoother, fluffier and softer feel.

2. Low yellowing, ideal for finishing white/light fabrics.

3. Self-dispersion, no emulsifier required, easy to use and cost saving.

4. Reduces yarn friction resistance and decreases breakage rate.

5. Has excellent stability and can be used under different finishing conditions.

6. Suitable for impregnation and spraying processes, wide range of applications.

Product Notes:

1. The residual alkali and instability of the textiles and the pH value of the water will affect the finishing effect, which must be cleaned before finishing.

2. The water used for working liquid should be tap water ≤ 200ppm, the use of groundwater or river water should be treated before use.

3. Pay attention to the use of the rolling trough: when there are more hairy head, pay attention to change the material to clean the trough.

4. This product is weakly cationic, if you use anionic products such as paints or adhesives in the chemical tank, you should clean the tank well before use.

5. Although softener chemicals are compatible with most cationic and nonionic additives, it is prudent to test their compatibility before mixing. The stability of the emulsion may also be affected under extreme conditions.
